Sports: Heartbreak

Mark it down on the calendar, Sunday, May 17, 2009, my heart was hurting not because I was without love, rather it was because my beloved Boston Celtics got their asses stomped by the Orlando Magic.

The run that the Celtics were on was a good one, but without the heart (read: Kevin Garnett) the body’s limbs are nothing but appendages that don’t have a groove.

So, as Paul Pierce, Rajon Rondo, Glen “Big Baby” Davis, Kendrick Perkins, Ray “Jesus Shuttlesworth” Allen, Stephon Marbury and Brian Scalabrine makes their plans for the summer, Coach Doc Rivers gets to go shopping looking for a versatile big man.

For the time being, I’ll be over here on the East side rooting for the New York Yankees and looking forward to football season.
