Worcester Youth Soccer: Get in the Game

Family meeting March 8th at 7 p.m. at the Armory on Skyline Dr.
(located near Voke HS and Green Hill soccer fields).

Dear Worcester Youth Soccer Community,
We really need your help! The number of people volunteering to help run the WYSL has significantly dwindled in the past year. There are close to 1,000 players in the league and it is getting to a point where many children (maybe even yours!) will not be able to play because we don't have enough adult volunteers. With the current number of volunteers, we will not be able to continue to provide the high quality sporting experience that our members have become accustomed to.

There are several positions that desperately need to be filled as soon as possible to ensure that the Spring 2011 season is a success. We ask that you attend this meeting to hear more about these jobs and to see if there is some way you can help the league. We are in need of volunteers at every level, including vital roles on our Board of Directors (see job descriptions below), coaching, fundraising, staffing special events, and so much more. Most of the open positions do not require a knowledge of soccer. We recognize and appreciate the time and commitment it takes to volunteer, so beginning with the Fall 2011 season, individuals serving at the Board level will be compensated with one free registration per season. There will be light refreshments served and board games will be available for the children while parents talk with current Board members. We hope to see you there!

Sincerely,
Worcester Youth Soccer Board of Directors
