Listen to Me!

In reading this article about Dariusz Nurzynsk, who was stabbed last night by two teenagers near Seymour Street, I couldn't help but look at this picture and shake my head.

I  guess Karol Wojtowicz, who's originally from Poland and visiting his family on vacation, wasn't sure what the officer was saying and the Office made it a point to make Karol got the point.

You are making some assumptions if you are shaking your head. First, as a friend of the victim, he is probably upset and agitated. When people get like that you have to break through the emotion threshold to get people to comprehend what you are communicating. Also, as a friend, he may have been pledging vengeance on behalf of the victim.

Neither of us knows what is being communicated, so why make the leap?

Not making any leaps or assumptions, but a picture does say alot.

Yes, I don't know what was being said, there still is something to be said about the officer's stance and who is he to put his finger in the face of another human beings face?

You've never dealt with someone so upset that rational talking doesn't work? And officers are trained to deal with upset people. In fact, he is using the lowest level I'm the use of force continuum. Are all cops good and right? Absoslutely not. But peoples initial reaction as a "fail" is wrong as well. Until the facts are know judgement is better left to those that were there. I also try to include sources so here is a link that may help. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Use_of_force_continuum?wasRedirected=true

I appreciate that you replied.
