Wind Turbines: How they're fixed off shore

Hopefully, when there are number of wind turbines occupying the land formerly known as the Worcester Regional Airport, we won't see helicopters flying overhead in this manner to fix them.



That's an Eurocopter EC135, which is being used by Bond Air Services to do windmill farm maintenance in the United Kingdom. I'm sure they stop the windmill before going up—unless the stop mechanism is the thing that is broken—but looking a the scale of that little man going down, it's quite scary anyway.

The Delay

Worcester area schools are delayed for two hours this morning due to ice on the roads, this all after many being out of school since December 11th.

While at a soccer game yesterday, I overheard a few parents talking about the NEED for their children to go to school and how it's been difficult for some to keep their children busy.
