People: Mandated Attire

The school in Georgia has ordered Jonathan Escobar to change his attire and to dress in a more "manly" fashion.

These days with the onset of skinny jeans, makeup and wigs that many students wear, self-expression reigns supreme in some schools.

This may not be the case in Worcester, yet, but I wonder what Worcester Public Schools would say to such an outfit?

Politics: Candidate Meet & Greet

Coming on the heels of my previous post, I received this email from Stand for Children inviting me to RSVP and attend a Mayoral candidate forum taking place on Monday, October 19, 2009, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at The Beechwood Hotel.

I will say to act quickly because I know the space is limited and I'm sure alot of folks will want to hear what the candidates have to say.

Politics: What You Don't know May Hurt You

What do we know about the candidates running for City Council? A few
have become masters of deception, and a few bank on the fact that the
less they talk or 'reveal' about themselves, the better their chances
are for being elected once again.

So, what do we know about those running?

Sports: Basketball Preview

In what many are stating will be a match-up for the NBA Finals, the
Boston Celtics are finally looking like they're healthy and ready to
take on the East's best; namely the Clevland Cavaliers.

The key for the Celtics is that they stay healthy and, newest team
member, Rasheed Wallace realizes that he was signed to shoot the 3-
pointer occassionally and work the boards for offensive rebounds and
be the defensive-stopper that we know he can be.

This season is key, as it will state to the entire League that the
Boston Celtics are ready to reclaim the crown and hoist their 18th NBA
Championship.
