Worcester Signs

If you walk or drive throughout the City of Worcester, it's not odd to find a number of streets and highways loaded with signs directing you to various neighborhoods.

On a stroll earlier today, I stumbled upon some great signs on Granite Street that I wanted to share.

Not only are these signs interesting and, downright, educational in nature, but they also tell good messages of taking care of our city & keeping it clean.

Worcester Love

We, at Worcester Is MAJOR!, aren't afraid to show our passion for the "City on the move" and it comes as no surprise that there are some other people that feel similarly. Check out this episode of a series titled Worcester Love.

In this episode, the hosts, Kaz & Andrea, "visit Worcester's Broad Meadow Brook Conservation Center & Wildlife Sanctuary, a member of the Mass Audubon society, which works to protect the nature of Massachusetts for people and wildlife."

Other than showing their love for Worcester by interviewing residents and showing various sites in and throughout the city, Kaz and Andrea, share their stories for what makes Worcester such a great city to live. Check out Worcester Love online and see the previous episodes highlighting Worcester Earn-a-bike, Tu Moda Spa and Green Hill Park, to name a few.

You're Kidding Me!

Thursday is off to an odd start, but still a good one nonetheless.

While driving this morning, taking my daughter to school, I come to an intersection where I see the above car with the driver, who just so happens to be hanging his arm out the driver's side window while holding a bottle of Poland Spring water. Well, the next thing I see is the driver toss the plastic bottle to the ground! Now, I'm thinking, "No he didn't!" But sure enough he did just litter.

So I decided to pulled over & attempted to get his attention, but I had to make a turn to take my daughter to school before the dreaded "first bell" ringing. Well, I was able to get right behind him and snap the picture you see above.

Now, we at Worcester Is MAJOR! will begin the search for who the driver was & we'll be sure to post their name as a litter bug!

So, the morale of the story is....be careful on the roads & don't be a Litter BUG! We're watching!

I've been seeing more & more signs throughout the city, but today I'm going to post some mobile pictures from downtown. Check out the pictures of the beautiful sunset.
