Tea Partay

When the Tea Party gets amped and turns up the volume, I always laugh because out come the Democrats who feel they can use the economy, taxes, race and gender issues to right the scales.

Well, the Tea Party isn't all smoke and mirrors and, when I truly listen to what many of their talking heads say, some of what is said does make sense. For example, many folks in the Tea Party movement feel that they are Taxed Enough Already  and there should be a simplified tax system and a balanced federal budget.

Well, damn!! I want these, too, and I'm a registered Democrat.

Am I a sell out?

Bear with me for a little longer. Remember back in April 2009, when White House Advisor, David Axelrod, made this bone-headed comment:
"I think any time that you have severe economic conditions, there is always an element of disaffection that can mutate into something that's unhealthy."
He went on to say:
"The thing that bewilders me is this President just cut taxes for ninety-five percent of the American people. So I think the tea bags should be directed elsewhere, because he certainly understands the burden that people face.

Well, didn't he sound very smart?

While I think Axelrod is a smart man, he certainly had his blinders on and is willing to spar with anyone that doesn't agree with President Obama.

I guess "change" is solely a campaign theme, and works for Axelrod only when his team is winning. [Insert a Charlie Sheen joke here.]

For the time being, I'm jammin' to Tea Partay and getting ready for the summer.  Cheers!
