Tunnel Vision

Sometimes when life seems to move at the speed of sound, we have to remind ourselves to SLOW down.

This is something that I'm working on becoming better at, and, lately, it's been paying off. I've been more productive, the mind has been sharper and I feel more at peace.

Tryouts will be held for travel teams on June 6th - 10th at Farber Field on Camelot Drive, just off Moreland St in Worcester.

ALL players wishing to play on a travel team must attend tryouts. Tryout times are based on age and gender.

• Monday, June 6 - U10 Boys/Girls born 8/1/01-7/31/03

• Tuesday, June 7 - U14 Boys born 8/1/97-7/31/99

• Wednesday, June 8 - U14 Girls born 8/1/97-7/31/99

• Thursday, June 9 - U12 Boys born 8/1/99-7/31/01

• Friday, June 10 - U12 Girls born 8/1/99-7/31/01

Turtle Boy Urban Gardners (Video)

Whenever I have an opportunity to get out of my world of footwear and do something different, I try to seize the moment.  So, when I heard about this year's "Turtle Boy Urban Gardners" clean-up day, I immediately knew that I wanted to lend a hand.


I've walked by the Turtle Boy statue countless times, and I've looked at it from various angles, and even laughed at it from time to time.  I've seen the statue adorned with the occasional scarf, hat, Mardi Gras beads, and, like on Sunday, a gold medal.

Here's a little video that'll show you the handy work of the "Turtle Boy Urban Gardners", and if you'd like to make a donation towards it's upkeep, head on over to Park Spirit (http://parkspirit.org/), which is a non-profit 501(C)3 organization.
