People: Mandated Attire

The school in Georgia has ordered Jonathan Escobar to change his attire and to dress in a more "manly" fashion.

These days with the onset of skinny jeans, makeup and wigs that many students wear, self-expression reigns supreme in some schools.

This may not be the case in Worcester, yet, but I wonder what Worcester Public Schools would say to such an outfit?

Gas Shortage

I got a call this morning from a cousin living in Georgia and when she told me that she had to drive 20 miles in order to find a gas station that was open and selling gas, I had to ask what was going on?

She said that ever since Hurricane Ike hit the Gulf of Mexico, they've had close to 3-weeks of gas shortages in Georgia.

She continued to tell me about a gas station that had gasoline and was charging folks $8.43 per gallon and people were lining up to buy gas prior to some customers called a local television station and the Department of Agriculture shut down the station.

This is one person's perspective.
