NBA Finals: More than a game

The NBA Finals are taking place and while the Boston Celtics won last night's game-Celtics-103 vs. Lakers-94, there are a few other rivalries taking place that involve two footwear boutique stores.  One in Boston- Bodega- and one in Los Angeles- Undefeated.

To coincide with the NBA Finals, both stores are pitting their sneakers and t-shirts against each other.

Bodega, which is located off of Mass Avenue in Boston, quickly became a "must see" sneaker lifestyle boutique store, is a fully-functioning bodega where you can by laundry detergent, toilet paper and Now and Later candy, that is, until you step on a special area of the floor nearest the Minute Maid juice machine to reveal the sneaker store.  Pretty dope concept that I was able to see during the construction of the store.

And on the West coast, there's Undefeated, which is the spot to visit for sneakers in LA, revealed their t-shirt and sneaker kit as soon as the Celtics beat the Orlando Magic, in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Now that the series is tied 1-1 and the Boston Celtics are playing the next 3-games in Boston, I'm looking forward to seeing what the Lakers fans "pull out" in the Bean.  Whatever it is, the Boston faithful are ready!

So the rivalry between the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers is in overdrive! The Celtics won game 1 of the NBA Finals last night by defeating the Lakers 98 to 88.

The ear-deafening chants of "Beat LA" were loud and boisterous. People throughout Boston and New England are wearing the Adidas "Beat LA" t-shirts and jumping into the fray is a boutique in Los Angeles, Undefeated, that has released their t-shirt that grabs at the heart-strings of the rivalry. Undefeated (UNDFTD) has made a statement by teaming up with Lamar Odom's Charity Foundation Cathy's Kids. The t-shirt, which read 'Boston Sucks' and the U-man will be available at Undefeated (UNDFTD) LA on Saturday, June 7th and online.

So, who says a good basketball rivalry isn't good for kids?
