Homebase

Whenever I travel, it usually takes until the 3rd day for me to start wondering if there's anything taking place in Worcester that I'm "missing".  Well, for the first time that didn't happen, and I wonder if it has anything to do with getting older and wiser?  I have to think the answer to that question is yes.

A Sign of the Times

As spring has sprung, I guess it's time for the City to update some of the old signs that are so damned small even a driver with Coke-bottle glasses couldn't read the signs.

This picture was taken this morning at the corner of Vernon Street & Endicott Street.

Puerto Rico: Security Is MAJOR!

Security in Puerto Rico has changed alot and it's become more systematic.

I always wondered why it took flying through PR to the US Virgin
Islands, and then it hit me, it's all about the dinero.

Well, it's all good and here we go!

Virgin Islands: View from STJ

The weather in the US Virgin Islands calls for a high of 88 degrees,
with partly cloudy skies this afternoon.

This is my view from STJ (St. John a.k.a Love City) looking at STT
(St. Thomas a.k.a Rock City)!

I'm partying today as we celebrate my Grandfather's 100th Birthday!

Gas-guzzler Tax

It appears that not only is Governor Patrick looking to increase the
taxes on gasoline, he is now proposing to hit folks that drive so
called "gas-guzzlers" with extra registeration fees and offer
discounts to those that drive more eco-friendly cars.

So, businesses that need large trucks for their business or families
that need a SUV to accommodate their family not only get hit at
the pump, but Gov. Patrick is proposing hitting them with higher fees
when they go to the RMV! Let's see if this law gathers any support in
Massachusetts.

If it becomes a law, Massachusetts would be the first  state to do so, prior to even California, which has been kicking around the idea for the past 4-years.

Leave it to Gov. Patrick to beat Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to the punch!
